Interestingly, in the 1980's Highland Park became somewhat famous because images of the neighborhood were portrayed in the hit television series Dallas. Additionally, in 2012 another series, GCB, took place in a fictitious "HillSide Park", which residents declare is a stand in for Highland Park.
